Anisa Asakawa was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1987. In 2009, Anisa graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing & Printmaking from Washington University in St. Louis. Before being a full-time painter, Anisa worked as a Display Coordinator for Anthropologie, a Cake Decorator, and a Sign Artist for Whole Foods Market.
